That is for recording your mic. Make sure push to talk is checked, click the box next to it and press what key you want for it to record your mic. You don't have to set it to push to talk, but I find the audio cleaner with push to talk. You can bind 2 keys and it just so happens that TTT has 2 buttons you need for voice chat. If you mean the game audio that'll record the same time as video. Keep in mind depending on how you chose to set video up, you could end up picking up Steam notification sounds, which I do sometimes by accident (forget to turn them off). If you require a simple tutorial video I can try and make one up.
Whatever you enjoy playing KA! I choose to start with basic STTT videos for now, but once I get all moved in to my new place I'll see about pumping higher quality stuff and expand to other games of course. I'm predicting blind runs, iOS game demo videos, maybe streaming, the possibilities can be endless! I like to think that I am an entertaining guy though I know I don't have the soothing voice of Morgan Freeman. My suggestion is maybe a game you can play in quick bursts with a buddy. Think old school stuff like Mario Party, Mario Kart, BattleToads, etc. Recording with friends can help as you don't have to carry the commentary all by yourself, plus you can play off each others comments and just be silly!
Yes Banana. From the main OBS menu, go to Settings -> Settings, inside there find Audio on the left menu. Click Audio and you'll see an option "Use Push-to-Talk:" with a check box. Click the box so that it is checked and on the right of the check box you'll see two big boxes and then a Clear button. Inside the big boxes click, then press what key you want (in this case shift) and then do the same with the other box (click and press z). After I move I'll make a quick basic OBS tutorial video.
OBS is freaking amazing. I can upload videos to YouTube at 1440p with it. I have a YouTube channel, but I think I'll just stick with posting Unlisted hacker videos. I used to have around 300 subscribers, but I deleted all my old videos when I saw the primary demographic. *shudders* I'll stick with the 10 subs I have right now lol
