The title of this thread is related to the subject, which I am questioning here before making any posts that possibly break the rules. The question is, are we allowed to discuss weed or other drugs in this off topic section?

But Mango my friend, really it's not as simple as those old rules that have probably existed for as long as this forum software has. Weed is legal in many places and it's only going to get more legal. So my question is, if I am a forum user legally using cannabis, how am I breaking the forum rules if what I am doing is legal?
I'm just letting you know that it is that simple. That weed maybe legal where you are, but it's not everywhere. You also titled this "Drugz" meaning not just weed.
It's not legal everywhere, yes. But it is very legal in some places, which in my opinion raises a legitimate issue. Whose definition of the law matters more?
I don't ever encourage people to engage in illegal activities, and I think it should be discussed professionally and with careful intent. Seeing as marijuana is now legal in few states for those that are 21 and over, the only acceptable topics should be such.
Discussion on sensitive topics should be made with caution. However, there is nothing illegal nor wrong with simple discussion on medication and narcotics. So long as said discussions revolve only around areas such as your personal views on the substance, discussing its legality for medication or personal pleasure purposes, etc. No one should discuss or ask members to try particular substances. Regardless of its legality in some areas or the age of the members conversing.
Fun fact: Companies can fire you for using illegal marijuana. I already knew this, I was just surprised that people on my Facebook newsfeed didn't lol.
I would advise against speaking about use of drugs or illegal substances in terms of usage or using. We do have an audience of people under the age of consent for multiple things. I would argue the same for sexual topics/gore/ or anything related to thereof. I even argue against legal drugs due to the fact advise on such topics as you are not medical trained, nor qualified to give advise on such topics and thus can cause legal concerns if something were to happen to a user(s). Examples: "you should try" or "This worked for me." This falls under the forums Terms and Rules Listed at the bottom. As we, a private company that Highwon owns and runs, has an AOL (Assumption of Liability). This means content discussed or used over our forums are directed from us unless otherwise disclosed we do not have a Liability for such topics. Like Disruptionz's posts about third party content and gift cards/steam codes. Legal stuff like that. Highwon has expressed in these terms and use that "Objectionable Content" and "Unlawful Activity or otherwise violates any laws." TL;DR No.
I have a medical card for pain in michigan and soon will need it for testicular cancer aswell, since i just found out i have it. So im a legal user but i understand the concern. I don't want kids thinking its ok to do and i don't think that was his intent. Maybe he just wanted to talk about flavors/strengths of different kinds. But that would fall into the "you should try this" section of the rules maybe? Its probably just best not to discuss it at all unless you are talking about whether or not you want it to be legal. But i dont even smoke normal weed i smoke Dabs, which are pretty addicting but are so much stronger then just normal bud. But i think its still alot better then pain killers eating my brain away.
