After the trainwreck that was ttt_Klutchs_house, I gave the community two ideas, and this was the option picked. So, here are the basic details. It is pretty self explanatory, it's an apartment complex. There will be several enterable apartments, as well as a sewer system below the map, a pool, and other things that make an apartment complex an apartment complex. Alrite, I have the first screenshots of the basic layout of the apartments! They will all follow this layout, however there will be different furniture, paint, and flooring to keep them interesting. Looks small as of now.. You want a map where 36+ people can spawn in it, not 16. This is tiny and small. I know it is WIP but I am just letting you take note of this information. Good luck, it does look good.
The apartments are small, but as I said, keep in mind that there will be at least 10 of them, plus the actual complex itself with locked apartments, and the sewer system below it. I don't think size will be a problem!
I like the idea of a detective room. Possibly a maintenance room in the sewers could serve the purpose? I like them because it gives the detective an extra variable to use and make combat interesting but they're not too OP because c4 is wonderful.
Could you PM me a link to the .bsp? like upload it to dropbox. (FYI I am asking for the .bsp because you cannot edit or open .bsp's.. You can only open it in the game and test the map.
I would, but at this point it isn't far enough done to where it would be worth sending. I haven't gotten to work on it much lately because of some personal issues that I had to take care of, but as soon as I get it done enough to where a demo can be made, I will upload it!
Assuming this thread is still relevant, add more variety to colors please, only colors I generally see is tan and brown
Update: For now until I don't really know when, I am going to have to halt the development of the map. It is not permanent, but my girlfriend just had a major surgery, and I cannot exactly focus my time on the map. I hope everyone understands, I will get back to its creation ASAP.
I am looking for a project and currently have the tool necessary to produce a map. Would you allow me in on the project while you are busy?
Please don't take this the wrong way, as I really don't mean it an any such way, however I'm going to have to say no. I have certain ideas and a layout planned in my head, and while I do have total faith in your abilities even though I haven't seen any of your work, it's a job that I want to tackle alone. Thank you for the offer though! On the bright side, my girlfriend's recovery is going quite well, and I should be able to focus my time back onto other things within a week or so!
Development back in progress! So all of the stuff that had my development halted is better now. My girlfriend's recovery is going well, so I'm not too stressed out about it to work on the map. I have plans to work on it A LOT this summer, and I really want to try to finish it before I go back to school in August. Updates on the map coming soon!
