In the logs: "Alchemized has dropped or planted a DeathNote!" < Just like C4. It wouldn't be susp. It would be following a KOS called [obviously] by a traitor.
The issue would be holding that traitor responsible in game. Just like with regular false KOS's, if one is called, whomever called it is responsible. If there was no way for this to happen, I bet a few people would leave a note saying "My T-Buddies are..." and watch the RDM train happen. The good thing about false KOS's is that you can stop it at the source thanks to a readily monitored system.
Right. So as long as it's in the logs that "Alchemized has planted a DeathNote on MangoTango!" [assuming only 1 deathnote can be placed on a body at a time] - Then it would be okay?
You're not getting what I'm saying. I'm talking about actual gameplay; not the logs, because that'd be easy. The way the innocents could be taken advantage of without any way to go after the false KOSer. The only way I can see that could fix that is either make notes only last as long as DNA or make it so only one person can read the note and then it's gone(you could have that in the logs too). I like the DNA suggestion, because it would keep it balanced.
Ooooh, I see what you mean now. Then yeah, I agree that putting DNA on the note would be the best option. Sorry, wasn't quite sure what you meant but now I get it ^.^ Either the Note itself should get DNA or [if the killer is the only one who can play a DeathNote] it could extend the time that DNA is on the body, perhaps
So, if this ever gets added, taking DeathNotes when you're not a detective would be a traitorous act right? It's the same thing as you having a flare gun as an innocent and burn a body with DNA. You'll be taking a piece of paper that had DNA on it.
The death notes could leave DNA And show up in the logs. then people know who planted it. regardless, if the traitor puts an innocents name there then its on them if someone kills that innocent.
I like the idea, But if you need to put one on the body when you kill them, its -1 for me. But, as soon as you kill them and its a default message you can like, edit in the F3 Menu, then +1.
I think the reformed idea is better, where you can place messages on walls. You can also use it as a distraction utility, so that you can kill people while they're busy reading it. And as stated before, you can always remove it if it causes too much trouble.
