I don't think being a mod makes abuse any less serious, if you feel offended by it you should report them.
No a mod is not suppose to rant to a player. If you speak to their admin they can discuss with the moderator the problem at hand for on the spot correction. If it is offensive enough you're more than welcome to file a forum report.
I just want to note this out there: While handling a case a mod cannot curse at the player(s) who are involved in the case. A mod is allowed to curse in general if it is not directed to anyone.
I would like to kindly disagree, while I do let the occasional curse slip, I do believe as staff to keep professionalism at close to all times. If it's in another game that's fine. But here is a different story
As with Taco, I disagree with your statement. I myself also do curse once in a while if I have either terrible aim or just mess up on something, but staff members (not just mods) have to maintain some level of professionalism (and not just simply let out the F-Bomb) on the servers. After all, we all serve as the pillar of STTT and the general example for all players who may have ambitions to join our ranks one day.
I just wanted to let Pwner of the peanut and other players that come across this to know that mods aren't allowed to curse at a player. They should read Taco's post so they know the staff need to stay professional.
You stated that mods are allowed to curse in general if it's not targeted towards players. This is what I disagree on regarding what you said. Check out what you typed in your comment that got 2 staff members to disagree on in that point.
Hmm, I see. I don't mind of they disagree. I didn't mean they can curse all the time. They can curse if it isn't directed to anyone. I didn't specify how often they are allowed to curse. Anyway, this is answered. I will take this to a Personal Message if needed.
This one is the specific one: 4. There should never be a time where you curse at a player whom you interact with as a staff member.
There you go. That's the answer as Highwon sees it. Yes, more is expected of you and you should always remember that you're staff, but keep in mind that it's okay to be a player with a title if you're not acting as staff.
