Some users have been creating a "Song channel" on SeriousTTT teamspeak3 where they play songs of their choice. I ask myself; Why do we do this? We have a plug.dj for the community to use, so why do this? Plug.dj is better-in my honest opinion. Sure it is nice to have a pop channel, R&B, Random internet songs, and other genres but what is the point? Here at SeriousTTT we do things as a community (Or at least I hope so.) So why not join the plug.dj when you want to play songs? Is it too hard to make a playlist? What is going on? Sometimes I want to listen to some new songs so I go on plug.dj and no one is there so I just try to find new songs on my own. Or maybe it is all in my head and I saw nothing... but we'll get to that later.
I'm not a fan of either, so I listen to my own music on Pandora. My guess for the people on TS3 is because it's an easy form of contacting staff members of communicating something. Plug.dj does not have the same comm capabilities as TS3.
I dont use plug dj to be honest. I would create a music channel on ts to just be alone and listen to music while i am playing a game, staffing or doing other stuff.
This would make sense but some people play it over the microphone. Now I can choose to go in the channel or avoid it. I would rather avoid it, I can avoid it all I want. Though, if we are going to play music to the community why not use plug.dj? Ugh, I don't know why. It probably has to do with personal opinions.
I've never seen a music channel on Teamspeak and I'm on, a lot. But if people are doing this, I would simply recommend them to our plug.dj. Not a big issue.
me and @Linky Krueger have created a sing with me channel just so he could play his music and sing in horrible voices without having anyone complain about mic spam on ts3 before
TeamSpeak is easier to set up and sometimes you don't want to be with everyone else in plugDJ and rather with a few close friends. I myself know that my music taste would not be well received on plugDJ so I don't go there.
I've never entered the channel, because there is always a password on it. But @Anarchist makes a channel usually when on TS3 called "Get Tuned" "Tuned" I'm not sure if he's playing music or not through the microphone.
That's basically a channel I use when I'm either AFK (The Afk channel is too mainstream, #hipsterlife) Or when I'm moderating and listening to music (never through the actual mic, just to myself), Occasionally, some people join who know the password that I always put on my channels. The only time it was ever actually used for music on the open mic was that time I paid wolfy 2 keys to sing to me, and is wasn't even that good and he wanted a limited audience
When using plug.dj, you have to listen through other people's music before hearing your own, or your friends, which is a huge turnoff for people. On TeamSpeak, you can control what's happening and have a limited group of users, usually sharing musical taste, which is why I imagine they use it as opposed to plug.dj. Personally, I don't visit plug.dj often because I don't enjoy many people's musical taste and I only want to listen to mine and other people who have the same taste as me.
i don't listen to what this Rich white kid does but he puts up with my music and i his, on plug.dj we can't have the decency to say "NOT THIS SONG O GOD ITS MAKING MY EARS FUCKING BLEED" and then the player skips it
Well, in TS3 some people like to come together and do a karaoke with their friends in their own channel. I don't see a problem with this, or if they have a channel in which they decide to listen to it since it doesn't affect anybody else. Yes I know there's plenty of sites where you can do this, but it's fun to do it 'privately' among the Ts3. Just my own thoughts.
